We are committed to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld). It includes health information and information about an individual's race or ethnic origin, philosophical or religious beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association, membership of a trade union, sexual orientation or practices, political opinions, membership of a political association, criminal record, genetic information, and biometric information/templates. We only collect sensitive information with your express consent, or where otherwise required or authorised by law.

The kinds of personal information we collect and hold about you depends on the nature of your dealings with us. This includes information collected in connection with our media consent and release processes, app usage, and operational activities.

2.1 Patients
If you are a patient of a hospital we work with, we may collect your name, gender, age, date of birth, residential address, telephone number and email address. With your express consent, we may also collect sensitive information including health information such as the nature of your condition or treatment and the health service at which you are being treated.
2.2 Guests and Parents/Guardians
If you are a guest appearing in Juiced TV content, or a parent or guardian consenting on behalf of a child guest, we may collect: your name, gender, age, date of birth, residential address, telephone number and email address; recordings of the guest, including photos, images, videos, films and sound recordings, whether made digitally, virtually or in person (Content); and any other information you provide when completing a media consent and release form. Where the guest is under 18, we collect consent from a parent or guardian who is authorised to act on the child's behalf. As Juiced TV content relates to children's experiences in hospital, this may involve the collection of sensitive information, including health information. We will only collect such information with the express consent of the relevant parent or guardian, to ensure our operations remain compliant and safe, while protecting the health and wellbeing of all participants we support.
2.3 App Users
We may from time to time collect information as to whether users are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander when using our app. Otherwise, we do not collect any other personally identifiable information (PII) through our app. The only other data we collect is anonymised device-level data, used solely to monitor and improve app performance.
2.4 Third Party Suppliers, Contractors and Sponsors
We may collect your name, business name, residential and/or business address, bank account details and any other information you provide to us as a supplier, contractor or sponsor.
2.5 Job and Volunteer Applicants
We may collect your name, date of birth, residential address, telephone number, email address, occupation, employment details, educational qualifications, resume and reference checks.

If you deal with us in another capacity, we may collect your name and contact details and any other information you choose to provide.
We may also collect details of your interactions with us. If you provide us with personal information about another person, please make sure you inform them about this Policy.
3.0 How Do We Collect Personal Information?
3.1 Direct Collection
We collect personal information directly from you (or your parent or legal guardian where you are under the age of 18), including: via media consent and release forms ; when you interact with us in writing, electronically or by telephone; when you communicate with us through our website or apps; and via our social media channels on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
3.2 Third Party Collection
We may also collect personal information from our agents and contractors, and from third parties such as Queensland Children's Hospital, our sponsors and our supporters.
3.3 Non-Identifying Information
Some information collected when you visit our website or use our apps does not identify you personally. This includes your IP address, device type, date and time of visit, pages viewed, browser and operating system type, and documents downloaded. This information is used in anonymous, aggregated form for statistical analysis and product development. We reserve the right to use or disclose this information to identify an individual where we reasonably believe unlawful or inappropriate activity has occurred, or where required or authorised by law.

We may use cookies on certain web pages to analyse page flow and measure promotional effectiveness. Cookies are pieces of information a website sends to your device while you are browsing. You can adjust your browser settings to warn you when a cookie is being sent or to disable cookies entirely. Please note that disabling cookies may limit access to features on our website.
4.0 How Do We Hold Personal Information?
We generally hold personal information in electronic databases and/or computer systems, including systems operated by our service providers. Personal information held electronically is encrypted and stored in databases located in Australia, subject to strict security access controls. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including by applying appropriate technical and organisational security measures and requiring our service providers to do the same.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete, up to date and relevant, and that it is used only for the purposes for which it was collected or for a directly related secondary purpose that the individual would reasonably expect. When we no longer need personal information for any purpose for which it may be used or disclosed under this Policy, and we are not required by law to retain it, we will take reasonable steps to destroy the information or ensure that it is de-identified.

5.2 Media Content and Consent
Where you (or a parent or guardian on your behalf) have completed a media consent and release form, we may collect, use and disclose your personal information — including recordings, images and sensitive information — for the purposes outlined in that form. These include: production and broadcast of Juiced TV content, including the Juiced TV show and educational activities; distribution and publication across channels including Hospital Patient Entertainment Systems, the Juiced TV application, public platforms such as YouTube, social media platforms, Juiced TV websites and digital platforms, marketing and promotional materials, and select external media outlets; and use by Juiced TV's sponsors and supporters, including hospitals, hospital foundations and corporate entities, to publicise their association with Juiced TV. Once content is published or made publicly available, it may be accessed, copied, shared or redistributed by third parties beyond our control. While we will take reasonable steps to remove content from our own platforms if consent is withdrawn, we may not be able to prevent the removal of content that has already been copied, downloaded or reshared by others.

We may use your personal information to contact you with information about our products and services, special offers, promotions and events that may be of interest to you. We may contact you by email, mail or telephone. You can opt out at any time by contacting us (using the contact details at the end of this Policy) or by using the unsubscribe facility in our communications.
6.0 To Whom Do We Disclose Personal Information?
6.1 General Disclosures
In conducting our business, we may disclose your personal information to third parties for the purposes outlined in this Policy. These may include: parties you have consented to us disclosing your personal information to, whether impliedly, verbally or in writing; our authorised sponsors (including Children's Hospital Foundation); Children's Health Queensland, Health Services and the Queensland Health Department, in connection with the purposes outlined in this Policy; our related companies; financial institutions for payment processing; our contracted service providers, including delivery and shipping providers, app developers, information technology service providers (including database storage and cloud service providers), marketing, promotional and market research agencies, and external business advisors (such as auditors and lawyers); in the case of a sale of our business (in whole or part), to the purchaser as an asset of the business; and where you are an applicant, referees whose details you have provided to us. We will not disclose your personal information to anyone else - including the media or industry bodies - without your prior consent. We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by or under law. Where we allow personal information collected through our apps to be shared with a third party, we will ensure that the third party provides the same level of protection over that personal information as we do.
6.2 Disclosure to Overseas Recipients
Some of our service providers are located outside Australia. As a result, personal information we hold may be transferred to recipients in other countries, including the United States of America, Singapore and other jurisdictions. In particular, content hosted on platforms such as YouTube and Meta may be stored globally. Where we disclose personal information to overseas recipients, we will generally take reasonable steps to ensure those recipients adhere to the APPs. However, where you have completed a media consent and release form acknowledging overseas disclosure, you agree that: Juiced TV may disclose personal information to overseas recipients; Juiced TV may not in all cases be required to take steps to ensure those overseas recipients comply with the Australian Privacy Principles; and Juiced TV will not be liable under section 16C of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) for any act or practice of an overseas recipient that would breach the APPs. Personal information such as your name and image may also be published on our website or apps, which may be accessible from overseas. Personal information collected in connection with our Health Service agreements is subject to further requirements - see section 11 below.
7.0 Your Rights
You have the following rights in relation to your personal information: request access to the personal information we hold about you (or your child, if applicable); request correction of any inaccurate, out-of-date, misleading or incomplete information; withdraw consent for future use of content - noting this will not affect prior use of that content; request that we do not use your personal information for direct marketing purposes; and make a complaint if you believe your personal information has not been handled appropriately.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details at the end of this Policy. To protect your personal information, we will confirm your identity before granting access or making any changes. In limited circumstances, we may decline a request and will provide written reasons if we do so.
Generally, there is no charge for accessing your personal information unless the request is complex or resource-intensive. If a charge applies, we will inform you of the amount before proceeding.
8.0 Anonymous Dealings
In some cases, you may be able to deal with us anonymously — for example, by browsing our website or registering for our apps without providing identifying information. However, it is not always practicable for us to deal with you anonymously on an ongoing basis. If we cannot collect personal information about you, you may not be able to participate in our films or use our services, and we may not be able to respond to your enquiries.
