Have you noticed our program looking a little different lately?
With the COVID-19 pandemic changing the way we can interact with patients in hospital, we had to put our heads together to find a unique solution that could continue changing the way sick kids and their families experience hospital.
Our answer – Juiced TV Virtual Visits!
Each week we coordinate a special guest to virtually visit our kids in hospital, and it all happens LIVE! So far we’ve featured guests such as Margot Robbie, Chris Hemsworth and Dean Lewis, and we’re really excited about who is still to come!
Juiced TV Founder Pip Forbes said while the idea is different to ordinary operations, it continues to deliver what Juiced TV set out to do since its launch at the Queensland Children’s Hospital in 2015.
“Juiced TV Live has provided us with a great opportunity to remain true to our purpose while in this very unique time of living and working throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. While the program looks and feels a little different, I’m so proud to see we’ve been able to adapt and deliver on our mission of providing a unique platform that empowers kids during their hospital journey.
“We have an inspiring team who immediately saw the challenges presented during this time also as an opportunity. They put their heads together while working remotely, finding a way to build a solution in just a few weeks.
From arranging our special guests to building a backend platform that allows us to connect kids with their idols, and directing the show live each week – this is something that I’m sure will continue beyond this time.”
