Juiced TV’s 2020 Paddle for Kids Cancelled

The COVID-19 outbreak continues to bring challenges to our families and communities across the globe, and Juiced TV hasn’t escaped these challenges. Over the past few weeks, while we’ve been working to adapt our service, we have also been liaising with our Paddle for Kids event team and partners to determine the best course of action for this year’s event.

Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision that our 2020 cannot be postponed until a later date this year, but cancelled altogether. With an array of unknowns continuing to challenge contingency plans, we believe that for the health and welfare of our participants and the broader community, its best we shift our attention to planning an incredible event for 2021.

On behalf of our Juiced TV team, Paddle for Kids Presenting Partner QSuper, and our Event Partners Dragon Boat Queensland and Children’s Hospital Foundation, we thank everyone for their continued energy and enthusiasm in paddling for sick kids! We can’t wait to update you on the plans for next year (including a new location!) in due course.

Juiced TV continues revolutionising the way sick kids and their families experience hospital, and we’re adapting to our changing environment to continue entertaining and distracting our hospital heroes right across Queensland.

We still need your help to do this.

If you have the capacity to do so during this time, we invite you to make a donation in lieu of your fundraising efforts that would have taken place while participating in this year’s event. You can do so by visiting our brand new event website paddleforkids.com.au.

We’ve had a big 2020 so far, with another road trip to Mackay Base Hospital, the launching of our Juiced Box service in Rockhampton Hospital, plus celebrating our 5th birthday.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank all of our friends and supporters who have helped us reach more kids in more hospitals over the past 12 months. We can’t wait to continue delivering on our mission now and into the future.
